Special Interests in Washington
are trying to destroy our
apprenticeship program.

You can stop them.

We need to tell the Department of Labor not to allow low quality industry apprenticeship programs, called IRAPs, in the construction industry.

These IRAP programs only have to pay the minimum wage and are not required to have a wage increase schedule; have no apprentice to mechanic worker ratios; no required safety training; no instructor eligibility requirements and no reporting on minority access.

IRAPs would open the door to unskilled workers—lowering pay and
benefits for all Elevator Constructors.
